Remote Data Kiosk (RDK)

The Remote Data Kiosk (RDK) is a small purpose-built computer that processes the raw flight data provided by the GAU 2000 and further uploads that information to Appareo’s servers for analysis and storage. Because Appareo builds the RDK specifically to do this job, there is little chance that outside software or hardware problems will delay the transfer of critical flight data, as they might on a standard personal computer. Additionally, the RDK is able to pass on seamless updates to already deployed GAU 2000s without having to remove any hardware from the aircraft.
